Stage Performers

Calling All Music and Dance Performers                                                                 

The Caribbean Days Festival organizers are calling for performers to submit requests to participate in Caribbean Days Festival.The next Caribbean Days Festival will be held on the last Saturday and Sunday of July at Waterfront Park located in Beautiful North Vancouver, B.C. Canada. This park is an exciting outdoor venue that comfortably accommodates  thousands of people. This Festival, which is the largest of its kind in BC attracts over 30,000 over two days, annually and  is preceded by a huge Multicultural Streets Parade on the Saturday morning. Our goal is to continue to provide an awareness of our music, artistes, art and culture.

We are looking for musicians and performers with CARIBBEAN Culture or AFRO/CARIBBEAN, AFRO LATIN/AFRO WORLD content.  Ultimately we would like to select a variety of performers that best project the image and Diversity of the Region. Open Air concert, indoor concert, dance hall stage, parade float and easy listening. Please provide us with your promotional kit and any tapes or CD’s. We may request an audition of your group.

Equipment provided: A complete sound system with a 32-channel board and back line gear. A professional sound engineer for the outdoor main stage (approx. 24 x 40) is available. Performers MUST provide any special equipment requirements.

Compensation: Performers are given HONORARIUMS which are funded primarily by a provincial gaming grant and the fundraising efforts (proceeds from concessions) of the T&T Cultural Society. There is no cover charge or entrance fee.

What to submit:

  • Brief statement of your performance outline
  • Bio/professional resume of your group
  • Promotional photographs
  • Two reviews (optional)
  • A representative sample of your work
  • Musicians: CD or tape
  • Dance groups: one VHS videotape
