Queen of Samba

Vancouver's Queen of Samba is a top performer in British Columbia and one of the hardest working dancers in the city. You see her perform at many general events and festivals; participating in parades and teaching the traditional cultural dance of Samba. She has been showcased in special presentations with the Vancouver Symphony, Jazz Festival, PNE, Canada Day, Canada Place, Vancouver Pride Parade, Chinese New Year, Four Seasons Hyatt Hotel, Annual Magic Show in Las Vegas, Vancouver Fashion Week and John Casablanca Fashion Show.

Clyde aka “Shizzle”

Clyde aka “Shizzle” hails from Bequia St.Vincent. He is a recording artist and a one man band performer, and have opened for the likes of Morgan Heritage and Freddie McGregor. Shizzle combines the heavy hitting dancehall rhythms of Sean Paul, the roots rock reggae of Bob Marley and the sexy island vibe of Kevin Lyttle to create a tropical dance party. Kunaka Youth Marumba Band

Kunaka, 9 talented young artists ages 12 to 15, have been performing joyful marimba music at community events and celebrations from Britannia to Bowen Island, the WISE Hall to Whistler, and the Chan to the "Cultch". Their dynamic style and confident stage presence appeal to audiences of all ages and musical persuasions. Despite their youth, Kunaka play as though they "own" the music, a signature sound inspired by the Shona traditions of Zimbabwe and fused with contemporary rhythms.

Joe Amouzou & the Safari League

Joe Amouzou was born in Togo, West Africa, into a very musical family. His father, Louis, was a renowned folk singer, whose songs remain part of the cultural fabric of the country. His mother was an accomplished soprano in a well-known local choir. Joe’s career in music began in his teens as a radio, television and concert singer and musician. (778) 322-7203

Carl Sound Vibes

Led by Maffie, the 'Crew' comes from diverse musical backgrounds but are brought together by a shared love for the music of the Caribbean. Moses Revolution

Tropitonics

All of the musicians are from various parts of the Caribbean. Timmy, vocalist, is from Barbados. Ron, saxophonist, is from St.Vincent. Jinnah, on steel drums, is from Trinidad. Frank, guitarist, is also from Trinidad. Mike, on steel drums, and George, percussion/bass, are from Guyana.
